Bubble Chambers
This PowerPoint
file has some nice bubble chamber photos and here are two notes that will give you some idea about how information is extracted from the photos [note1 | note2].

SLAC
Is a two-mile-long linear accelerator run by Stanford University. This
virtual tour of the facility is very nice.

Fermilab
is a four-mile circumference synchrotron located near Chicago. Check out
this.

Jefferson Lab
is an electron accelerator located in Newport News, VA. We will use the electrons from this accelerator to produce a high energy photon beam by passing the electrons through a thin diamond wafer. These photons will then be used to produce exotic mesons in the GlueX experiment.

CERN
is located near Geneva Switzerland -
world's largest accelerator

Particle Adventure
is a great
website on particle physics.
