The three of us started our scuba diving adventures in the spring of 2004. Prior to that, we had made a number of trips to Playa del Carmen, a small town on the Yucatan Peninsula near the island of Cozumel. We did some snorkeling on these trips and found that to be fun. After watching scuba divers hauling their diving gear out to boats, it struck Linda that all that effort must have some reward. She thought we ought to see what diving is all about so we took an intensive weekend course, in April of 2004, run by the dive shop in Bloomington. Immediately we got the bug! We started diving in Sunset Lake, a mere 20-minute drive from our house. And then we discovered Bonaire - the "Diver's Paradise" - which we have visited five times now. We still dive in Sunset Lake and plan other dives elsewhere and, of course, more in Bonaire. Our son, Christopher, is now a Master Scuba Diver, thanks to additional training in Bonaire, and currently is working on his assistant instructor certification. We hope you enjoy our photos and some of the other information on this site.
