Flounder are masters of disguise. They swim on their sides - close to the bottom - with both eyes on the same side of their bodies.

| The flounder in these photos are Peacock Flounder. In the three photos on the right, starting from the top, we see a flounder first in the sand, then coming up on a rock and within a few seconds assuming the color and pattern of the rock. | ||||||||||
