I put together an equal parts mixture of dish detergent (I used Dawn), water and glycerine and fashioned a makeshift bubble wand (about 2 inches in diameter) out of steel wire. I dipped the wand in the liquid and oriented the film more or less vertical in front of my camera lens, outdoors, with the Sun at my back. I adjusted the orientation of the soap film until I could see an interference pattern in the view finder in focus. The first collection of four photos shows the evolution of the film over about 10 seconds. More follow after that.
