Forced Harmonic Oscillator Data
In class we took data using the Forced Harmonic Oscillator Apparatus and fitted the data to a function of the form which gives the amplitude of the oscillation as a function of frequency
where Fo is the amplitude of the driving force, fo is the natural frequency and the resistive force is of the form:

The fit yields:
A = 58.0 +/- 1.1
fo = 2.2 +/- 0.004 Hz
b = 0.28 +/- 0.008 sec-1We did NOT record the phase but based on the above fit we should expect this dependence:
