The Honors Course has a listserver system that allows the subscribers to the list access to archives and the ability to send e-mails to everyone on the list. The current subscribers include those registered in the class, myself (Alex), the two AI's (Jan and Mike) and Thom Sulanke - the systems administrator for our research group.I will use this listserver to send messages to the class.
There is system in place that allows only subscribers to access the listserver functions - to prevent hackers from getting to the list and indundating people with mail spam.
Accessing the List:The main information page is here: http://dustbunny.physics.indiana.edu/mailman/listinfo/honors-p221. To get your password sent my e-mail go to the bottom of the above page link and in the last field type your e-mail address. Your password will be e-mailed to you.
Changing Password:You can change your password. Once again go to http://dustbunny.physics.indiana.edu/mailman/listinfo/honors-p221. Near the bottom you will find the section labelled Honors-p221 Subscribers. Enter your e-mail address and password and click on the 'Visit Subscriber List' button. You will be sent to a page that lists the addresses on the subscriber list. Click on your address and you will be taken to a form where you can change your password.
