Many of the journal entries and some of the photo captions refer to dive sites on the island. This graphic gives you an idea of the layout with some of our favorite dive sites labeled. We are staying at the Hotel Bellafonte which is on the ocean close to the Windsock site. The west side of the island is the leeward side. Kralendjik is the capital of Bonaire. To set the scale, the distance from the southern tip to the northern tip is about 22 miles and the width (widest) is about 6 miles.
